Then, I combine the Uber pick-up records of these four months into one table with SQL “Union All” command. I import and load the four CSV files into the MySQL database on my local instance. The raw data set consists of four CSV files with the monthly Uber pick-up records from April to July 2014 and one Excel file with the weather information for these four months. This project specifies the use of Excel, SQL, MySQL Workbench, Tableau Prep, Tableau Desktop and Tableau Online. I will use a well-known real-world data set about the Uber trips in New York City to generate powerful reports and dashboards to create data visualizations, dashboards, and data models to prepare a high-impact presentation with important business insights. In this blog, I am going to leverage Tableau’s library of resources to demonstrate best practices for data visualization and data storytelling.
